Morocco 4 - The Desert Ride and over night stay.

Once we reached the Desert after many hours in the car we were delighted and in awe of the scenic views. Too hard to really capture - for me that is. I had also dropped my special camera into water and it was drying out so we only had the tablet and a small happy snap camera to cope with.... Here are but a few.. It is a trip in a life time and we enjoyed every minute of this venture. You really should think about it before it becomes too commercial.

A Berber camp in the middle of no where....

Viewing the land ahead.

Our two camels waiting for us...

Taking a picture for us with the tab...

My turn to get on one of these fellows..

Some of you know what this feels like...

A quiet walk - silence all around except for the wind

Here we go..

A Berber taking a walk through the desert.. love the orange turban

Camel prints in the sand

Trying to take a photo while riding the camel - it is a wonder we go anything at all.

Sunset nearly upon us.

Sunset from the top of the dune.

Think he was saying his prayers or he was just grateful that we make it back after climbing a high dune
to see the sunset.

Our room for the night.

Early morning - our camp..

Carpets everywhere laid on the sand.

Sunrise 5.30am over the dunes.... too beautiful.

Morocco 3 - Camels, Camels everywhere.

Where ever you go in Morocco there are Camels and of course ones snaps away and before you know it you have so many pictures all much of a 'muchness' Some of these creatures are friendly and some not so much. I was told that they were "smelly" and grumpy but we did not find this at all.

So cute but the Mom was very protective

Heading out

...
Waiting for clients

He looked at us kinda saying "you want a ride?"

Going home

Miles of nothing ahead

Outside this boutique was a camel being held down by rope.... he really was not going
anywhere.

Taken from the car window.... on the way to the desert.

Morocco - 2 - on the streets.

While walking through the streets we came upon many types of
art work and craft designs.. some we loved and others we were not so keen on. It takes all types. Their pottery was bright and colourfull and loved their plates although they were very heavy.

Beautifully painted

Leather work every where.... one could smell it from a door or two away.

Baby moccasins

Berber silver - jewellery big and small

Made from spoons and forks.

Morocco... 1

It has been some time since I last posted anything on my blog so but life has been a little hectic and frustrating to say the least. We have been through the good, bad and the ugly so to speak.... BUT on the up side we traveled to Cuba and Morocco. In the next few days or weeks depending on the network I shall add a few pictures and stories. As you know street photography has been something I love... my other work I sell here at home and in time will load them on to my JennyB Studio on Facebook so I shall keep you posted. So now lets give you a few pictures to look at.

Art being something I am interested and tend to spend a lot of time buying I shall show you a few pieces that I saw in Morocco. For once I did not buy anything or nothing really took my fancy and I had to be careful with luggage - not that that has ever really stopped me.

Hope you enjoy.

-  Loved the colours in this picture
which was hanging in a very modern gallery.
Another Fun picture in the gallery

- An Old and water marked painting but
this was hanging in our hotel...
Hanging in the lounge of our Hotel... apparently quite a popular subject.... in oils

These were all painted by women which is often the case.....
Loved the man with the turban - his eyes were very striking.
