Cuba - 1 - Old cars.

One of the first things one thinks of when thinking of Cuba is a vision of classic cars. We were no exception and on the way from the airport we were not disappointed. We were looking from side to side as they seemed to be everywhere. We of course could not take it all in but after 2 weeks we were almost blase in our approach to seeing them. Everyone wanted a ride in one or the other of these colourful and various models. It was certainly a good trade to be in as they were not cheap but everyone needs to take a ride in one. I of course am a good tourist and had to have a trip around the town  and we loved every minute of our ride. Many of the vehicles flashed past us and we wondered how they traveled so fast but later found out that most of the engines under the hood were new 'zooped' up engines. Still there was their fair share of ' golden oldies' chugging around too.

A lovely vintage.
